Prospecting {Sara/Open}
Chloe's been back in Siren Cove going on a week now and she still hasn't found the right place to call home, despite her realtor's best efforts. Living in a hotel is fun...for about two days, and then it gets real old real fast. She feels like she can't fully unpack, in case she finds a residence she needs to pounce on, and her purses are suffering for it. Poor babies need to be displayed, not locked up in stuffy, but seriously cute, suitcases.
So today, she's hit the pavement again, taking it upon herself to walk around Siren Cove and call on buildings that catch her fancy. But does she want to be near the water? Or in town? Possibly in a more private area just on the outskirts? The possibilities and Chloe's indecisiveness are bringing on a headache when she spots a shop, unmarked with a giant FOR SALE sign painted across the windows. Chloe tilts her head, because this storefront is incredibly charming. It's really too bad it's a shop and not a condo of some sort. As she admires the craftsmanship, the store owner steps out, almost running smack into Chloe. The two get to talking, and soon she learns from the other woman that the store was a failed attempt at an all-natural, homemade bath and cosmetic company, with a healthy mix of magic. The woman gave up on the shop idea when she quickly ran out of funds before she could even create her first batch of soaps.
Chloe takes the woman's business card, tucking it away safely into her designer bag as she wanders off to her next stop: Quill. Standing in line to order a coffee and a snack, she pulls the woman's card out of her purse, flipping it over in her fresh mani.
"Hm...owning a business wouldn't be bad, right?" She has the money. She could invest. Or buy the business plan off the woman. It's tempting, exhilarating even, but is she ready for that kind of responsibility? She hums to herself, completely lost in thought as she weighs out the pros and cons.
ooc: This post is for Chloe and Sara to become business partners. But if you'd like to run into Chloe just for interactions, feel free. She'll be chillin' at Quill and open to meeting new and/or old friends!

Desperate to get out of her apartment, she shoves her phone and a wallet in a purse and heads down to the Quill. At the very least, she can get some good quality coffee and maybe read for a little while. Almost at the front of the line, she hears a familiar voice and glances up from her phone. "Chloe!" she grins, tapping her shoulder. "We run into each other again!"

Sara raises her eyebrows, thinking it over. "I'm no Bill Gates or anything, but I've taken classes. Do you need a partner? Because I am totes down for investing in a business."

"Chloe?" he called out from where he was sitting. "You're back? I, uh, do you remember me?"
Because when his band had toured in Korea they had met Chloe and she acted like she didn't know him. Despite the rock star imagine he hadn't changed so much that one of his good friends wouldn't recognize him, even if they hadn't seen each other since she had left.

Of course she knows why he would ask that. She's never been sure why, but Chloe ignored Kim the one time she ran into Phoenix Falling in Korea. Maybe she wasn't ready to be reminded of Siren Cove. Maybe she didn't want a scandal (Korean papers are notorious for making a mountain out of a molehill). Or maybe she really was just a diva at the height of her popularity. All Chloe knows is she's always felt bad for snuffing Kim.

"Chloe!" he said, brighten once she said she recognized him. Whatever the reason she had ignored him before didn't matter, he was just glad to see his friend. It was weird how many old friends he was running into who had also just come back to Siren Cove. It was definitely a good thing though, he thought.
"Do, uh, do you have time to sit and talk? You kind of looked deep in thought there."

"Except that I'm bored. I'm so used to being so busy and everything planned out for me the down time is nice but kind of weird."

Kim flinched a bit when she smacked the table, forgetting just how dramatic she could be. He liked how dramatic she was though, it was really fun. It kind of made everything see really important.
"I know, I think I might open up a recording studio or something. And yeah, after all the hotels and temporary apartments and stuff I just wanted someplace comfortable and familiar. You should stop by sometime. My aunt would love the chance to convince you to marry my brother."

"I can't, it's almost as addicting as the performing and the acting," he said with a laugh. It seemed like she really did get it. He hoped that she really did stop by, he knew his aunt would love to see her.
"And yeah, I know, that's what everyone keeps telling me. It's alright though, I have more talent."

Kim had always been uncomfortable with his siren side. He didn't think it was right to have control over people like that. It was probably due to the fact that he'd seen his brother do it so much to his aunt. That was why he had the tattoos that would suppress his siren side.
"No contest, I have several Grammys and he doesn't have a Tony Award," he said with a grin. "And an MTV award but that... That doesn't really count. Of course, you probably have an entire room for your awards."
