Prospecting {Sara/Open}

 Chloe's been back in Siren Cove going on a week now and she still hasn't found the right place to call home, despite her realtor's best efforts. Living in a hotel is fun...for about two days, and then it gets real old real fast. She feels like she can't fully unpack, in case she finds a residence she needs to pounce on, and her purses are suffering for it. Poor babies need to be displayed, not locked up in stuffy, but seriously cute, suitcases.

So today, she's hit the pavement again, taking it upon herself to walk around Siren Cove and call on buildings that catch her fancy. But does she want to be near the water? Or in town? Possibly in a more private area just on the outskirts? The possibilities and Chloe's indecisiveness are bringing on a headache when she spots a shop, unmarked with a giant FOR SALE sign painted across the windows. Chloe tilts her head, because this storefront is incredibly charming. It's really too bad it's a shop and not a condo of some sort. As she admires the craftsmanship, the store owner steps out, almost running smack into Chloe. The two get to talking, and soon she learns from the other woman that the store was a failed attempt at an all-natural, homemade bath and cosmetic company, with a healthy mix of magic. The woman gave up on the shop idea when she quickly ran out of funds before she could even create her first batch of soaps.

Chloe takes the woman's business card, tucking it away safely into her designer bag as she wanders off to her next stop: Quill. Standing in line to order a coffee and a snack, she pulls the woman's card out of her purse, flipping it over in her fresh mani.

"Hm...owning a business wouldn't be bad, right?" She has the money. She could invest. Or buy the business plan off the woman. It's tempting, exhilarating even, but is she ready for that kind of responsibility? She hums to herself, completely lost in thought as she weighs out the pros and cons.

ooc: This post is for Chloe and Sara to become business partners. But if you'd like to run into Chloe just for interactions, feel free. She'll be chillin' at Quill and open to meeting new and/or old friends!

That response elicits a squeal out of Chloe and she claps her hands together. "Yes! You're interested? That'd be amazing! I can't handle it by myself, but having you on board would totally give me more confidence. Plus, your skin is flawless. I think that alone is a solid recommendation for your expertise."

Sara flicks her hair over a shoulder with a smirk. "I take care of myself, okay. Weekly spa visits are a must. With us at the head? We'd sell so much."

[queenchloe]

"Yay!" she cheers, pulling the woman's card out of her purse to text. "Are you busy? We can go talk to her together if you'd like. She seemed really sad to be selling, so maybe she'll stick around as an employee?"

"Not in the least. Let's do it!" she smiles, glad to have found something to do. And Chloe definitely seems to be the person to do it with. "If she wants to stick around, maybe be a manager, that'd be fine with me."

[queenchloe]

"Oh good idea. Look at you, already making executive decisions. This was meant to be," she nods. Chloe pulls out her phone and types up a quick message to the owner, asking to meet in 30. "Hey, while I have my phone out, I should probably have my business partner's number, right?" she smiles and hands Sara her phone.

[thedeciever]

"Might be a good idea," Sara agrees, matching her smile. She takes the phone and programs in her number, pausing only to take a selfie to make her contact picture before she hands it back over. "Okay, give me a call so I can put you in mine, okay?"

[queenchloe]

"Kk!" Chloe's impressed when Sara adds a selfie. She takes her phone back and hits dial on Sara's contact, lifting her phone to her ear and turning her back towards her new friend and partner.

Sara's phone rings, vibrating slightly in her hand, and she answers it with a broad grin. "Hello? Queen Sarayu of the Singh dynasty speaking."

"Queen Sarayu?" Chloe responds, trying to hide her giggle. "Oh my gosh, I can't believe I'm really talking to you! I'm so excited to use your bath bombs, I wanna be just like you when I grow up!" She can't keep up the act anymore, turning her phone off with a laugh as she turns back to Sara. "There. Ready for our first meeting?"

Sara chuckles softly to herself, putting Chloe's info into her phone and snapping a quick pic to go with it. "Yup. Lead the way, Queen Chloe."

Chloe takes the cutest pic, used to having cameras snapping at her constantly. She grabs her bag and the rest of her coffee, pushing herself out of the seat with a hand out to help Sara up as well.

"It's not too far, actually. I'm surprised I didn't notice it before. I think a coat of paint on the outside could go a long way in making it stand out though," she explains as they cross the street, making their way to the little shop nearby. Once they arrive, Chloe dramatically gestures at the storefront. "Isn't it too precious??"

Staring up at the little store front, Sara is impressed. Its a lot nicer than she expected. "It's cute! It needs a bit of work but I think we could turn it into something absolutely adorable," she agrees.

[queenchloe]

"I think so too." Chloe's extremely happy that Sara seems to like the place as well. "It has good windows to put up products. And it's close to the pier so tourist season will be beneficial," she reasons, wheels already turning.

Seeing the owner make her way down the sidewalk, Chloe quickly makes introductions. The woman opens up the shop for them to take a look inside and discuss her plans for the place.

Sara immediately likes the owner. She seems to have a good head on her shoulders, just not good marketing sense. And the products that line the shelves are amazing. She can sense the magic coming off of some of them and she's curious about the benefits, but figures she'll wait to ask.

[queenchloe]

Chloe's immediately sold when she sees the products. They smell amazing, look incredibly adorable, and she's intrigued by the magic surrounding them. The owner is just as sweet as before, and now Chloe really wants to make the woman's dream come true. She asks if Brianna (she goes by Bri, she says) would be interested in sticking around as a manager and the woman's face lights up with joy.

"I think you've answered all our questions so far. Sara and I will need to discuss it further, of course," she says, glancing to Sara. "But we'l be in contact with you very soon, I'm sure."

With a last goodbye to Bri, they leave the shop, silently walking down the sidewalk until Chloe beams. "I love it! What do you think??"

"It's awesome!" Sara quickly agrees, beaming back. "Bri is awesome! We can totally turn that into a great business with just a little work."

She's actually excited about the prospect. She doesn't get excited about things easily, but this could be fun. And she'd be raking in a tidy profit to show her parents she isn't just the useless non-witch in the family.

"Yeah? I think so too! Maybe it'd help build up my resume and get me into school." Chloe always thinks long term. The hard work she puts into life at the moment tend to be geared toward some kind of goal. Training was to debut. Debuting was to become a star. All that hard work paid off, up to a point, and maybe...just maybe, with Sara and Bri's help, Chloe can create a new name for herself where she doesn't have to worry about who she really is.

"I'm so glad you want to go into this with me, Sara. I feel much more confident in the idea. And having a steady project to keep us busy will be nice." She hooks her arm into Sara's, too excited by the prospect. "I'll call up my lawyer in the morning and discuss the details. I can give you his number if you wanna check him out. He'll be able to get us all the info on permits and contracts."

"Yeah, give me his number," she grins, glad to have a project to work on and a new friend. A ridiculously cute new friend. "My dad's a lawyer so I'll probably send him the guy's name and stuff so he can look it over. Now... We should celebrate our new business venture."

[queenchloe]

"Your dad's a lawyer? Dang, I should accept coffee from strangers more often. Apparently it brings you business partners with great resources," she teases.

Chloe nods. "What should we do to celebrate? More importantly, do we need to change?"

[thedeciever]

"Dad's a lawyer, mom's a doctor," Sara chuckles. "And I was thinking drinks? Which I think we both look fine for, but we can totally change if you want to."

[queenchloe]

"You got all the hookups, don't you," she laughs. Chloe looks down at herself and nods, still happy with her outfit. "Drinks sound perfect!"

"All right then! To the Watersong we go! My treat, of course," Sara grins, dragging Chloe along by her arm. "Maybe even a little dancing afterwards."

[queenchloe]

"You're gonna spoil me, I swear," she beams, following closely at Sara's heels. "Wow, I just realized I've never been to Watersong."

[thedeciever]

"Shit, really?? It's awesome. Not quite club level awesome but it's a great bar and the music is always good," she explains, holding the door open for her.

[queenchloe]

"Really! I left Siren Cove at 15 and for some reason, haven't explored the bars since I made my return." Chloe steps inside and falls immediately in love with the atmosphere. "Where do you wanna sit?" she asks, raising her voice to fight the loud, but really great, music.
